Sad to say, that once the CR80 motor went faster, the chassis had problems keeping up

The hard decision had to be made: spend more cash on a heavy chassis or change direction again and get something better
Some research showed us that an Honda RS GP125 was both lighter, stopped better, had better geometry and fitted the CR80 motor without a great deal of work
The 1991 - 1994 RS125 chassis was more robust and also featured quick release gear - Altogether a much better proposition
Minimal modifications are required to get the motor in.
1. Cut away the bulge in the engine casings around the kickstart mechanism and weld on some additional plates to seal off the casings
2. Space the engine sprocket to align the final drive
3. Space the motor to fit the chassis
4. Make up an exhaust bracket
5. Hook up the electrics and ride
In total about 20 hours work and you have an 80cc rocket ship
We are now in the process of looking again at the motor for more power......
Micaldo Combriani has switched to a TZ125 / YZ80 set up which is a totally different story................................. Watch this space
